De Madelief is a Dutch Language and Culture (NTC) primary school. The NTC school is aimed at children of Dutch/FLemish parents who live in and around Dublin. De Madelief is a member of the NOB foundation.
In December 2014, a needs survey showed that many Dutch/Flemish families needed an NTC school in Dublin. In a short time, our professional team has given shape to De Madelief with great dedication. The preconditions are there. We are now ready to welcome interested parents.
Which children are eligible?
De Madelief is open to children who speak Dutch with at least one of the parents at home. Our goal:
- Maintain speaking and listening skills.
- Improve reading and writing skills.
- To simplify entry into education in the Netherlands in the event of a return to the Netherlands /Belgium.

- 3.75 hours of Dutch language & culture education every Saturday morning (32 weeks per year)

Age groups
We teach students between the ages of 4 and 14. Classes are made every year depending on the level and age of the students.
In 2021/2022 the students will be divided into 4 classes:
– junior and senior infants
– class 1 and 2
– class 3 and 4
– class 5 and 6
